I hope I’m wrong.
I hope we’re all wrong.
I hope that Matthew turns out to be a fake and a fraud.
I hope that the Hurricane Forecast Centers and the Weather Channel and all of us who work for Non-Profits in Haiti look a bit foolish when it’s all done and Matthew has gone home to wherever overrated hurricanes go when they die.
I’m afraid that I’m not wrong.
I’m afraid this is going to be big. And nasty. And dangerous.
I’m afraid that Haiti doesn’t have the infrastructure and the resources to dig out of the washouts and the mudslides and the damage without help.
