Jeff Goins is a writer who has been very helpful to me (though he doesn’t know it. He has written a couple of books that I’ve found to be very helpful.
He recently wrote a post on his blog called, “Why I Write.” In it he urges people to share why they write. So, I am.
I write for three reasons:
- I write because it helps motivate people to make a difference for the kids in Haiti. If you want to read more about that, go to http://glahaiti.org/toms-make-a-difference to see more of that.
- I write because I believe that we’re all better off if we share life together. There are too many people who are struggling quietly and feel like they are all alone. By writing, I can help people not feel so alone.
- I write because it helps me figure out what I think. As Flannery O’Conner said, “I write because I don’t know what I think until I read what I say.”
That’s just part of why I write. I also write because life is never boring and there’s no shortage of material to write about.
Stay tuned and thanks for visiting…..
