Things I’ve Learned #6
I can honestly say that up until the last 10 years, I never really thought much about the brain.
It was just there, you used it, it told your lungs when to breathe etc. and all was well.
Over the last 10 years, I’ve learned a lot about the brain.
- I’ve learned that the brain is much more flexible when you are younger and can therefore adjust to injuries and work “around them.”
- I’ve learned that the brain isn’t fully formed until approximately the age of 5.
- The brain is one of the few parts of the human body where doctors know much less on how it works than most other parts of the body.
- The brain is a mystery.
Okay, maybe I have learned that I need to know a lot more about how the brain works.
